Outlook Express 6 Setup

We do not support the use of Outlook Express 6, which is mainly used in Windows XP. We strongly suggest that you update to a newer operating system, as Microsoft does not offically support Windows XP as of April 8, 2014.

Click on "Tools" and then "Accounts" On the "Internet Accounts" window you'll see four tabs, choose the "Mail" tab (if it's not already on that tab) and click on the "Add" button to the right and choose "Mail..."

On this "Internet Connection Wizard" page, type in your Display name. (This is your first and last name) Click "Next"

On this "Internet E-mail Address" page, type in your full e-mail address. Click "Next"

On this "E-mail Server Names" page, choose a server type... POP3 or IMAP.

(POP3 downloads your emails off of our server and onto your computer. Any other device will not receive the new emails.)

(IMAP will only download a copy of what's on the server. All emails stay on the server until you specifically delete and purge them. This is useful to use if you have more than one device checking your email.)

Click "Next"

On this "Internet Mail Logon" window, your "Account name" should already be typed in... if it's not, just type the beginning of your email address here (it *might* possibly require your whole email address).

{e.g. - username or username@whc.net}

The "Log on using Secure Password Authentication (SPA)" should not be checked. Click "Next" and then "Finish"

When that window disappears, click on the account that we just set up (on the left-hand side) and click on "Properties" to the right.

On this properties window, choose the "Servers" tab at the top and then go all the way down to the bottom and put a check into "My server requires authentication" that's under the "Outgoing Mail Server" section.

Now choose the "Advanced" tab at the top. Here you will see a highlighted number "25" ...we need to change this to "587" Once you've changed that setting, click on "Apply" at the bottom and then "Ok" Then click "Close" on the "Internet Accounts" window.

Your account is now fully setup on Outlook Express 6.
